What you eat will directly impact your skin and will reflect on your skin health. Always follow healthy diet to make your skin healthy and problem free. If you don’t eat right healthy food then your skin may become dull and lifeless. Certain type of foods life oily and junk food makes your skin problem worse.
Food for Acne Treatment
Vegetables and Fresh Fruits
Eat fresh vegetables and fruits which are enrich with vitamins and minerals. Use less oil and spices in your cooking as it’s basic skin hazards. They destroys nutrients presents in vegetables and other raw food items. Eat baked or roasted food instead of fried preparation. Some vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, raddish, cucumber can be eaten raw. They all are good for your skin. Eat fruits like apple, banana, papaya, cherry, strawberry, grapes and orange that contains vitamin A, C and E which are very helpful to treat acne.
Breads and Milk
Take wholemeal bread instead of white bread because it is more nutritious compared to white breads. Wholemeal bread contains increased fiber component which is required for healthy digestion process, that will directly imply to healthy and acne free skin. Avoid full cream milk and drink skimmed milk because it has less bacteria in it and fat is removed from skimmed milk hence it will not increase acne problems.
Foodie Antibiotics
Ginger and garlic has properties of natural antibiotics. You can use it in your vegetable preparations. They would not only make your food tasty but also help you to improve your acne condition. You can also use some Ayurveda and herbal remedies like aloe vera, neem, haldi, papaya and tea tree oil.
Food that Aggravate Acne
Food which is rich in iodine can cause skin breakouts. Seafood like lobster, oyster, crab and shrimp and sea vegetables like kelp, nori and dulse are high in iodine. So you should avoid this type of food. Spinach is also rich in iodine.
Fried potato chips, chocolates which contain cream and glazed doughnuts cause acne.
Most fast food like sandwiches and burgers, ham, bacon all are high in omega-6 fatty acids which produce hormone in your body that lead inflammation, irritation and redness.
Foods like cookies, cake, pastry, muffins are high in glycemic which cause acne.
Red meat is another thing you should avoid or consume in very low quantity because it will increase the body hormones and that is not favorable for skin with acne problems.
Alcohol and caffeine should be avoided as it will add to the problems and also add dryness to your skin.
Salt is very important for body, but high consumption of salt can be dangerous for skin as iodine which is responsible for elevating acne breakouts.
But keep in my mind that only these foods not responsible for your acne but they could aggravate it. So you must follow healthy diet and control intake of these type of food to maintain overall health of your skin.
