You may find it strange and awkward if I suggest you to not use soap. Soap is one of the most important part of your toiletries and very useful to wash and clean your skin. Though, Soaps are useful for cleansing off dust particles, dirt and excess oils, it will also remove essential fatty oils from your skin.

Soaps are alkaline in nature and our skin is acidic. Soaps are harsh and harmful to your skin as it strips off your skin. Even if you use glycerin or syndet based soaps, it may harm your skin too. So, if you have sensitive or dry skin then you should completely avoid using soaps and switch to body was or shower gel. And if you have tough, hard and oily skin then you should choose your soaps carefully which is mild enough to just strip off excess oils from your skin and not essential elements of your skin.

While soaps are damaging, body wash is a good alternative for that as it cleans your skin without stripping off your skin and removing essential elements of your skin. Another benefit of bodywash is that it’s more hygienic. Because soaps are touched by many users while bodywash is stored in closed container, so elements in air doesn’t affect them and use by multiple persons also have no impact on it’s hygene. Additionally bodywash comes with additional moisturizer which are skin friendly and helps to keep your skin soft and supple.

Facial skin is more important as it stays exposed to air and outer environment. Hence it will require extra moisturizer and extra care which your regular soaps fail to provide. Hence for cleaning your face, you should use face wash especially made for facial skin.
