Today it’s very prevalent problem to find it difficult to wake up in the morning and feeling sleepy throughout the day. RLS and Insomnia has many of the similar symptoms hence we should not mix them together. RLS may cause excessive sleepiness during daytime.

Another cause of EDS is Narcolepsy that is also a neurological disorder where you feel a disturbed sleepiness. Narcolepsy is more associated with younger children compared to older adults. In Narcolepsy you may feel sudden sleep attacks, cataplexy, sleep paralysis, hallucinations and sudden muscular weakness.

Certain Medical Conditions, Diseases or some Medication may also cause Excessive Daytime sleepiness. So get yourself checked by a physician for any medical conditions and diseases.
